The Systems Innovations department is tasked with developing custom solutions for our clients ranging from data ingress from client internal systems to data egress to retail partners, direct to consumer websites, and much more. We work in the fast-paced digital e-commerce space, where requirements change daily, new capabilities launch constantly, and products are being purchased and delivered to consumers faster than ever.
Projects will be both short and long-term, ranging from smaller brand manufacturers to some of the largest consumer goods companies in the world. The Systems Innovation department is responsible for assessing business opportunities, developing solutions, setting priorities, and working toward those goals while managing multiple diverse projects. Projects will often include development work on custom connections between upstream sources like Product Information Management system (PIM) (Salsify, inRiver, Stibo, Riversand), iPaaS solutions like MuleSoft and Boomi, ERPs like SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, and Netsuite, and DAMs like Bynder, Widen, and Aprimo, as well as downstream applications like Shopify, BigCommerce, Drupal, and Magento, to name just a few. Other projects will include working on custom scripts and systems for internal Gournay Consulting use, such as utilizing OCR and ML platforms. In addition to custom development projects, the Systems Innovations team works closely with the Implementation team on new PIM, DAM, & GDSN implementations, participating in client calls, data modeling, and activating system use through data analysis, channel mapping, and troubleshooting.
